Gary M. Amundson, MD, has joined Upstate as assistant professor of radiology, specializing in pediatric radiology, with a clinical interest in body imaging and research interest in pediatric ultrasound. Prior to Upstate, Dr. Amundson was a staff radiologist at Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville, Ky. He received his doctor of medicine degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine, Loma Linda, Calif.; completed postgraduate training in pediatrics and in diagnostic radiology at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles; and a fellowship in pediatric radiology at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland. He is a member of the Society for Pediatric Radiology.
Susan M. Rainbow, BS, RN, has been appointed as the patient service manager for the Emergency Department with responsibility for the management, leadership, and oversight of the Emergency Department’s Pediatric, Adult, and Minor Treatment areas. Her focus will be working on the evening shift. Rainbow has held various staff and charge roles at Upstate University Hospital, most recently as the patient service leader in the Emergency Department.
Nicole Hanas, RN, has been selected as the ambulatory patient service supervisor for Pediatric Clinics at the Physicians Office Building to include GI, Child Development, Behavior and Genetics, Pediatric Surgery and Urology. Hanas has been employed at Upstate since 1999 with her most recent position as the clinical trainer for General Pediatrics. She will begin her new post May 10.
