Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital announces winners of Patient Experience Awards

RISE Executive Director Haji Adan and Upstate medical student Diane Kim help put trays of food out for guests at the RISE Up holiday festival, held Dec. 3 at the association’s Syracuse site, 302 Burt St. RISE (Refugee and Immigrant Self-Empowerment) is formerly known as the Somali Bantu Community Association. Upstate students are regular volunteers at this organization that provides education, job coaching, socialization and other services to new Americans from many countries.
