Center for Bioethics and Humanities Winter 2019 Seminar Series sessions is Feb. 12
The Center for Bioethics and Humanities Winter 2019 Seminar Series will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Feb. 12 in 4507 Setnor Academic Building. A light lunch will be offered at 11:45 a.m. prior to the start of each seminar. Devan Stahl, PhD, MDiv, assistant professor of clinical ethics at Michigan State University, will present Which ‘Me’ Matters? Are the prior wishes of once competent patients always determinative? This presentation will explore the foundations and limits of precedent autonomy for people with acquired cognitive impairment.

Spiritual Care Journal Club is Feb. 6
Spiritual Care Journal Club will be held Feb. 6 from 12:45 to 1:30 p.m. 1317 Upstate University Hospital Downtown Campus. The Journal of Palliative Medicine’s 2018 article “Spiritual and Religious Coping of Medical Decision Makers for Hospitalized Older Adult Patients” will be discussed. Bring your lunch.
