Central NY WomenHeart Open House is July 30
Upstate University Hospital and the national organization WomenHeart are hosting Central NY WomenHeart—free monthly meetings that serve as a support network for women who are living with heart disease. To learn more about the support group, the public is invited to an Open House Monday, July 30, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Upstate’s OASIS/HealthLink Learning Center, 1 Telergy Parkway (6333 State Route 298) in East Syracuse. C.A.B. summer hours continue through Labor Day
A reminder that the C.A.B. summer hours through Labor Day are: 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday; Noon. to 9 p.m., Sundays. In addition, the C.A.B. recreational facilities will be closed on Monday, Sept. 3 in observance of the holiday. Return to top>

Advocates for Upstate Medical University is selling Macy’s Shop for a Cause shopping passes for $5 each with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting the Advocates. Move 5K race/walk is Sept. 23
The Upstate Physical Therapy Club invites Upstate students and alumni to form teams for the second annual Move 5K, to be held Sunday, Sept. 23 at Green Lakes State Park in Fayetteville. The event features a race/walk, a wheelchair division, a kids’ fun run and a post-race expo focused on healthy lifestyles. Teams of three to five participants will compete in the Physical Therapy Challenge in the 5K (3.1-mile) race. The team with the best average time per runner will win a prizes. Upstate students receive a $5 discount if they use their Upstate e-mail address to register. Register online for Move 5K, a fundraiser for the Upstate Physical Therapy Club and Move Along Inc.
