Certified Nurses Day March 19 spotlights Upstate’s excellence in nursing


Among the more than 570 certified nurses at Upstate is Trauma Program Manager Jolene Kittle, who holds six specialty certifications, from flight registered nurse to adult gerontology clinical nurse specialist.

RURAL MEDICINE ALL-STAR: Christopher Moheimani, MD, of the Guthrie Cortland Medical Center, receives the 2019 Preceptor of the Year Award from the Upstate Rural Medical Education (RMED) Program. With Moheimani, center, are Carrie Roseamelia, PhD, assistant dean of rural medicine; and Julio Licinio, MD, PhD, executive dean and dean of the College of Medicine. As a preceptor, Moheimani hosts medical students in his practice for an intensive experience in rural medicine.
