Team Upstate creates new ‘Your Cause’ sponsorship program

Team Upstate has introduced a new sponsorship program, called “Your Cause,” designed to feature the volunteer work performed by the Upstate family. To support these efforts, Your Cause will support one local charitable cause with promotional and financial support each calendar year.

“Team Upstate recognizes that employees and students regularly go beyond the call of duty and give their gifts of time, talent and treasure to many deserving non-profit organizations in Central New York,” said Zanette Howe, Team Upstate chair. “The new Your Cause sponsorship program has been designed to promote this spirit of volunteerism and reward it with promotional and financial support.”

Applications are being accepted through Nov. 30, for Your Cause sponsorship.  The Team Upstate committee will select the 2016 Your Cause and announce the winning organization in December.

The selected organization will then be promoted through various Upstate communications tools throughout the year. This includes information on the organization, opportunities to support the organization and attend fundraising events. The selected organization is also eligible to receive up to $5,000 in support during its year of Team Upstate sponsorship.

Team Upstate works to promote public awareness of Upstate’s contributions to the community and to encourage volunteer participation among Upstate students, staff, faculty and retirees. Team Upstate sponsors many activities and events each year that promote quality of life and maintain Upstate’s mission, vision and values.
