Berg joined Upstate in 1972 as a faculty member in the Department of Anatomy and was director of the gross anatomy and anatomical gift programs from 1994 to 2011 and assistant dean from 1978 to 1998. He is professor of cell and developmental biology. Susan Keeter, director of Creative Services in Upstate’s Department of Marketing and University Communications, painted Berg’s portrait. The event, hosted by Upstate’s Medical Alumni Foundation, also recognized the Berg scholarship fund.
