Kristi Shaver, MS, CNS, RN, CDE, has been named clinical operations supervisor for Joslin Diabetes Center. Shaver will provide clinical oversight of the RNs, licensed practical nurses, medical assistants and phlebotomist and RN-certified diabetes educators. Shaver has served on the Joslin team for 17 years, as the education coordinator for 12 years. In 2012 she moved to the inpatient setting to provide diabetes education services during which time she completed her master’s degree as a CNS at Upstate’s College of Nursing, graduating in 2014.

Trina Skeele, RN, BSN, has joined the Emergency Medicine Department as patient safety/quality manager. Skeele was a clinical training specialist for Upstate’s Emergency Department since 2013 and was RN in the Downtown Campus Emergency Department from 2006 to 2013. She served as a PSL/staff RN in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Upstate from 1998 to 2006.
