Safe Kids Upstate NY Coalition, led by Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital, partnered with FedEx and other community agencies to teach McKinley Brighton Elementary School students about pedestrian safety in recognition of Oct. 3 as International Walk to School Day. An assembly and warm-up rally was held before heading out for a neighborhood walk both for exercise and to learn more about being safe pedestrians.

Mask artist and former patient Logan, 6, with photos of the mask he made when he was a patient at the Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital. Logan’s creation is included in “Masks of Hope and Healing,” the first exhibition of works by young artists who have been patients at the Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital. The exhibition is on display at the 12th floor art gallery at the Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital and is open to Upstate patients, visitors and staff.
